The ETHERMA Duo Plus S2 direct heating appliance is a modern convector storage heater with additional infrared heating. The heater impresses in three ways by combining convection, infrared and heat storage in one unique product. The combination of three heating methods not only ensures increased performance but also optimizes operating costs.
Thanks to its compact design, the powerful Duo Plus is extremely space-saving and at the same time generates pleasant infrared warmth. The built-in electronic controls allow the desired room temperature to be easily selected.
The efficient Duo Plus S2 is ideal for large rooms and is the perfect replacement for outdated night storage heaters. It is characterized not only by its modern, purist design but also by its fast heating response time.
Duo Plus can either be controlled using the integrated controls, or these can be deactivated, and an ecodesign-compliant room thermostat used instead. The integrated controls include ‘temperature drop detection’, which means if there is a sudden drop in temperature, for example due to an open window, the appliance switches off automatically to save energy.
The Duo Plus S2 is mounted horizontally on the wall; it is available in two outputs (1500W and 2000W) and is connected via a connecting cable with plug, or wired directly into fused spur.

Replacement of night storage heaters
Night storage heaters are a relic of the past, designed to use surplus (cheap) electricity overnight and allow the power stations to keep running to maintain their efficiency. However, times change, and now older storage heaters are seen as inefficient, expensive to run, energy-hungry, and poorly controlled.
